The eight-minute films were directed by the eight finalists who submitted their own version of the Pier Roxas story and shot using only the new Nokia N8 and now available online for viewing at: www.nokia.com.ph/pierroxas.
The finalists created their own Pier Roxas story based on the given clues: Pier Roxas was found at the pier along Roxas Boulevard, he has a facial bruise, a lipstick smudge on his collar, an unfamiliar key, a parking ticket, a SMART GOLD SIM, Pier’s wallet was missing but he still has his Nokia N8 with no contacts.
The first finalist is ingest operator Ray de Leon, with his “Unanswered Question”, which tells the story of Pier Roxas and a mysterious lady he fell in love with. “Triple Dare” by Mia Buenaventura shows Pier Roxas, known to his colleagues as “Pyke", spending the eight days with different people in his adventure in Manila. From Dr. Cyrus Pasamba and Glynis Lee, “Hypno-Pier” is a comedy with a twist of suspense. Pier has been recruited as an agent by a hypnotist to bomb a US aircraft carrier. In the end, the plan didn’t go well, which caused Agent Pier to impulsively snap out of his hypnosis.
In DK Cordera’s “F8”, Pier Roxas is visited by three people, not believing that he is dead until he is escorted to his final resting place. In Andrei Guarin’s “Blue Pill”, is about Pier Roxas joining the brain-related scientific experiment which went wrong; Pier starts to find out what happen to him on the days lost. “Covert Ops” by Albert Torralba is a mystery-comedy-romance about Agent P who is assigned to join another agent for a reconnaissance mission. “Phobia” from Paul Pineda tells the story of a man who fears rejection. Juanita Bantay’s “Behind the Scene”, describe the series of event on how Pier Roxas helps himself remember the events of the past eight days.
