Japan dominates Asia-Pacific shortlist for International AME Awards 2012

GLOBAL – NEW YORK, USA, FEBRUARY 22, 2012: Japan leads the Asian shortlist for the International AME Awards  for Advertising Marketing Effectiveness 2012 with TBWA Hakuhodo’s six entries, four of which belong to the entry "Ariel Cheers for You Project."

Australia follows the Asia Pacific shortlist records with four, two of which from Leo Burnett Australia, and one each from BCM Partnership and Grey Advertising while China has single shortlisted entry from DDB China Group.
“I saw a lot of campaigns linking themselves with current events, making themselves more relevant to the market,” commented Brandie Tan, former executive creative director BBDO Guerrero Proximity, Philippines (Asia-Pacific Grand Jury) on the entries.
 
Internationally, Germany leads with 26 shortlisted entries. United States follows with 12 entries achieving shortlisted status, with 11 from Canada. England has two while Columbia, France, and the Netherlands each has one.
 
The partial list of prominent agencies includes Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, England, Leo Burnett Australia DDB Cana/Vancouver, DDB China Group, DDB New York,  EURO RSCG Worldwide, Fred & Farid Paris, France, Grey Advertising, Jung von Matt, Kempertrautmann GmbH, Lowe & Partners, Columbia, Lukas Lindemann Rosinski GmbH, Neue Digitale/ Razorfish, GmbH, PALM+HAVAS, Canada, Proximity Canada, Serviceplan Group, Germany, TBWA HAKUHODO, Tribal DDB Amsterdam, and Young and Rubicam USA.
 
The Grand Jury, comprised of interactive and multidisciplinary marketers, planners, and creatives, selected the Shortlist from entries submitted from 27 countries worldwide.The 2012 International AME Award winner will be announced in March. For more information, visit www.ameawards.com.
